Covid-19 Update

Mar 19, 2020

The headlines and concerns centered around Coronavirus COVID-19 change and evolve daily and hourly.  We continue to monitor the information being put out by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).  Based on updated guidelines and our goal of protecting the health of our employees, their families, and our patrons while doing everything we can to continue to provide products and services to our customers, the following practice will be put into place:

  • Truck drivers need to stay in their trucks.  They are not permitted to enter the scale house/office.  This includes internal transfer trucks.
  • We will do everything we can to continue to serve our customers with efficiency while keeping in mind the current guidelines that have been issued by the CDC and KDHE.  These include:
    • Wash hands with soap and water more frequently
    • Use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol
    • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
    • Stay home if you are sick
    • Cover coughs and sneezes
    • Clean and disinfect surfaces daily
    • Use social distancing of at least 6 feet
